“A day in the life” at Rocking Horse Day Care.

Quality you can trust. Our goal is to provide quality child care within an educational atmosphere of love and understanding. All children who attend our day care are treated as family. This means we love them, encourage them, and teach them to be kind and considerate towards others. We also provide a program of play and learning experiences to prepare them socially and intellectually for school.

Nutritious, well balanced meals are served to every child; including breakfast, lunch and a snack. Similac Advanced Formula, rice or oatmeal cereal and stage 2 baby food is provided for infants.

Nap time is also an important part of our daily routine. Every child is provided an opportunity to rest or nap on a cot provided by the center. Our staff follow safe sleep recommendations of the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) for infants during nap time.

A personal locker is provided for every child. Clothing and blankets may be brought to the facility. We ask that all items be labeled labeled with your child’s name, and taken home every Friday for laundering.

Transportation is available between the center and schools. Each facility has its own professional school bus, and may include pick up, drop off, or both. See facility information for additional details.

Health & Safety. In the event of a child injury, or a child becomes ill, standard first aid is administered and parents will be notified. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified. Medications or special medical procedures may be administered to a child only by written authorization by a physician or parent.
